Bo and Luke Cuke's Adventure Needs More Cowbell
Today’s super-charged story involves those Good Old Cuke Boys - Bo and Luke. The Cuke Boys are always up for a high octane adventure and today’s was filled with music, mystery and movement.
The Cuke Boys asked Uncle Jessie Cuke for some ideas for an adventure.
Uncle Jessie said, “Sometimes boys if you want an adventure, listen for the music, it’s out there.”
“What does that mean Uncle Jessie?” Bo Cuke asked.
“Enjoy your adventure boys,” Uncle Jessie said while leaning back in his rocking trellis sipping some compost tea.
Bo and Luke Cuke looked at each other confused for only a second before they sprung off like a Jackrabbit Fruit and slid across the hood of their Cuke Mobile and jumped inside.
“Hang on tight Bo, The General C is taking off in 3… 2… 1… Go,” Luke Cuke said with enthusiasm.
The General C popped a wheelie and took off as The Cuke Boys were ready to go find this music Uncle Jessie spoke of.
First, they stopped by to see their companions Pea Diddy and Rosco BeanCo Traine.
Pea Diddy was a musician and said he was upcycling a set of his drums to the Beetnix, a companion music group of CarbonPatchKids who have performed at the Madison Raised Garden.
“The Beetnix are awesome! They are an all drum band,” Pea Diddy said. “They grab whatever drums they can and form a ring around Parker Posy and beat away on their circle of drums.”
Pea Diddy asked Bo and Luke Cuke if they could drop the upcycled drums off to the Beetnix, since they lived nearby.
“Sure thing Pea Diddy,” Bo Cuke said. “Mind if I bang on those bongos?”
“Please, enjoy,” Pea Diddy said.
Bo Cuke started pounding away like a octopus on sugar, but eventually found a rhythm.
“Coo Coo Coo, I like that rhythm Bo,” Rosco BeanCo Traine said as he picked up his bass guitar. “How’s it sound if I add this to your drum beat.”
The two sounds meshed together. The CarbonPatchKids started bopping their heads and tapping their feet to the two instruments.
“How about if we add a little rhythm guitar to this jam?” said Pea Diddy.
The three instruments together sounded even better!
Luke Cuke wanted to join in the fun but didn’t have an instrument.
Suddenly one of the giants in CarbonPatchMusic appeared out of nowhere and said.
“Companions, I couldn’t help notice you getting ready to lay down a track. My name is Moose Dickinson. Yes, that’s right thee Moose Dickinson and I gotta tell ya companions, you have got what appears to be a vegi-mite sound.”
“Coming from you Moose, that means a lot,” Pea Diddy said.
“Yeah, you’re Moose Dickinson,” Rosco BeanCo Traine said.
“This is incredible, I can’t believe Moose Dickinson digs our sound,” Bo Cuke said.
Luke Cuke felt left out because he didn’t have an instrument but could feel the movement of the music.
“Easy guys, I drink from the river just like the rest of you one drop at a time, except once my belly is full of water, I make Plantnum Songs,” Moose Dickinson said with a straight-faced smirk.
All the CarbonPatchKids laughed.
“Although I got to tell ya I think this jam session could use a little cowbell,” Moose Dickinson said. “Luke, grab that cowbell caught hanging on my right antler and jump into the jam session. And Luke, really explore the row’s space. I mean really, explore the space.”
“You got it Moose Dickinson,” Luke Cuke said.
Pea Diddy, Rosco BeanCo Traine and the Cuke Boys quickly found their synchronized rhythm and rocked it hard. The four CarbonPatchKids jammed back and forth as each one contributed to their part of this musical adventure.
“Hey Luke keep that cowbell, you are one Cool Cucumber,” Moose Dickinson said. “CarbonPatchKids, if you keep exploring the musical space one day you’ll be wearing Plantnum Plated seed starters.”
“What does that mean,” Bo Cuke asked.
“Never question Moose Dickinson,” Moose Dickinson said as he walked off into the forest.
“Well the last time we were confused by what Uncle Jessie said, we ended up here, so let’s go to the Beetnix row and see if they want to add some cowbell to the Ring Around Parker Posy,” Luke Cuke said.
Pea Diddy and Rosco BeanCo Traine loaded the upcycled drums into The General C and they all took off to the Beetnix row to deliver another Cuke Boys adventure as they continue their search for the magic in music.
